TaxEase Documentation

TaxEase is a tax and professional-services application that combines three things in one place: a 50-tool directory of free, browser-based tax and finance calculators, a set of legal and business document generators, and a service-request workflow for professional-services firms. It runs on the web and Android (iOS is not currently offered), and is built with React 19, TanStack Router, Firebase, and Capacitor.

Of the 50 tools, 37 run inside TaxEase and 13 open on ZTools — a sibling site by the same developer, also free and account-free. Both are listed together in the app's Tools directory, and the older in-app URLs of the migrated tools redirect to their ZTools pages.

These docs explain what TaxEase does, how to use each area, and what every tool calculates — written so a human, a search engine, and an AI assistant can all find the right answer quickly.

What you can do with TaxEase

  • Run free calculators — estimate income tax, refunds, self-employment and payroll tax, mortgage and loan payments, retirement savings, business break-even, and more. Every calculator runs in your browser; no data is sent to a server to compute a result.
  • Generate documents — produce print-ready NDAs, contracts, leases, employment agreements, powers of attorney, invoices, and business plans from simple forms.
  • Request professional services — submit a structured service request (for example, a tax-registration or compliance task), attach documents, and track its status.
  • Use it anywhere — the same account and tools work on the web app and the native Android app, plus a companion browser extension for capturing receipts.

Honest framing

The calculators and document templates in TaxEase are provided for informational and educational purposes only. They are general estimates based on published rates and standard formulas, and they are not tax, legal, or financial advice. Tax law and legal requirements vary by jurisdiction and change over time. Always confirm important decisions with a qualified tax professional, attorney, or financial advisor.
