What is TaxEase?
TaxEase is a tax and professional-services app for the web and Android. It offers a 50-tool directory of free tax and finance calculators (37 hosted in TaxEase, 13 on the sibling site ZTools), legal/business document generators, and a service-request workflow for professional-services firms.
Is TaxEase free to use?
The calculators and document generators are free and work without an account. Creating an account (free) adds saving, history, cross-device sync, Google Drive export, and the service-request workflow.
Do I need to sign in?
No — calculators and document generators work for everyone. You only need to sign in to save your work or to submit and track service requests.
Is my data private?
Calculator inputs are processed in your browser and are not sent to a server to compute a result. When you sign in and choose to save a result or submit a request, that data is stored in your TaxEase account. Uploaded documents are stored via FilesHub. See the in-app Privacy Policy for full details and how to delete your data.
Which platforms are supported?
Web and Android (iOS is not currently offered). The web app runs in any modern browser, and the native Android app is on Google Play. A companion browser extension captures receipts for expense tracking.
How accurate are the calculators?
They use published U.S. rates and standard formulas (for example, 2024 federal tax brackets and FICA rates) and are accurate for those assumptions. They are estimates for informational purposes only and are not tax, legal, or financial advice. Always confirm with a qualified professional.
Are the document templates legal advice?
No. They are starting templates. A document becomes binding only when properly completed, executed, and (where required) notarized or witnessed per your jurisdiction. Have important documents reviewed by an attorney.
